If I Were Applying to HBS in 2022, This is What I’d Do (6 Steps)

So you want to get into a top MBA school in 2022?

Well, I was in your shoes just a few years ago, and I want to tell you 6 secret tips that I would use if I were applying for an MBA today. These are all my learnings from getting into four of the top MBA programs myself to eventually attend Harvard Business School.

With admit rates in the single digits, you’ll need all of these tips to get that admit!

Step 1: Study every MBA program

Each MBA program has its own strengths, weaknesses, and unique perspectives. Speak to (recent) alumni, current students, and the programs themselves to get a sense of these differences. You want to ensure that you find the vibe that you want and write your application accordingly.

Step 2: Invent your doppelgänger

Create a "fake" application on each MBA program's admissions page, and even add yourself as a recommender so you can see exactly what questions you need to prepare for, exactly what your recommenders will see, and how much time you'll need to prepare everything.

You don't want to miss a round deadline just because you forgot to prepare one section until the end.
