Quick recap to April 2010:
Steve Jobs launched the iPad as a device in-between the laptop and the smartphone. He said that this in-between device needed to be better than laptops and smartphones at browsing the web, email, photos, video, music, games, and eBooks.
Basically the ultimate consumption device.
And for a few years, iPad did exactly that. I've used mine as my primary content device, carrying it for watching Netflix in hotels, browsing the web on a huge display, and playing games.
But over the year, iPad sales have dropped and stagnated.
